One of the best hindi movie, representing original custom and culture.
Throughout the movie, it showed the simple, happy and honest living of true
India. I use the word true India as in this period of modernisazation we
have lost all the culture and respect for the custom. I love this movie.
Thank you for uploading it.

Beautiful song from one of the best movies (Nadiya ke Paar) made on the socio cultural backdrop of Eastern UP and BIhar. Much better than its cosmopolitan remkake (Hum Aapke Hain Kaun). The other good movie made on the cultural backdrop of Eastern UP - Bihar is the Raj Kapoor starrer , Shailendra's ' Teesari Kasam'. Request you all to suggest names of more such movies.

Ganga Maiya Tohe Piyari Chadhaibo" Music by Chitragupt early 60s First Bhojpuri film .Like even by the first President of India Dr Rajendra Prasad.
Thanks and God Bless

sumancalif on Friday, November 13, 2009
have you seen "paar" its an art movie.

amittewary on Friday, November 13, 2009
@sumancalif I do recollect bits of the movie. 'Paar' probably depicted the plight of the protagonist who had to cross some pigs across a river, when his own wife was expecting a baby.

Reminds me of marriages in our Village when the women of the village sing while the marriage is taking place. :)

TheBladerunner123 on Monday, February 22, 2010
I belong to bihar and its exactly how things happen...we have our own folk songs..unlike this one..they all sing in chorus while marriage happens..and it all seems so real..the house, the village..I miss all that..i love it

The marriage is a social institution in our country and each state presents
its own unique tradition and customs on marriage. Marriages in Bihar is a
long but filled with rituals and customs that happen simultaneously at
Groom and Bride's family. This occasion brings entire family, distant
relatives, village together and people selflessly contribute during
marriage. If you have not been part of it - pls see one to experience it.
