No, she was not a mediocre actress in any way, as she delivered some best performances in garbage-like scripts. Medicares do not do that. And she made lifeless characters into live-wire performances; medicores do NOT do that.
Any way, I may sound biased as I like her a lot, but that's my own opinion from observing her...She's a wonder.

The problem is that she was subtle and in some way much ahead of her time, so some people may end up thinking more of her dancing and not of her amazing *acting skills*!
