This is authentic and semi-classical and being a non-Indian myself, I felt the entire album has something for everyone. If you like western touch then turn to "Jiya Re", for Mid-eastern touch listen "Ishq Shava" for a nostalgic romantic duet- "Saans". If folk is your taste then how abt "Heer"? and for pure madness "Challa" and "Ishq Dance". So I believe this album has a long way to go specially once the movie is released.
tobygeral on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 Pretty average contemporary sounding music for a Yash Chopra film. I wish he had resisted the conversion to contemporary music for one final film. But judging from the 14-year olds who think this stuff sounds "fabulous", I guess he's done the right thing to move with the times..?
Mind you, no one will be humming these tunes in 6 months from now, unlike the music from Darr, Chandni, Lamhe, Dil to Pagal Hai, etc..
