"Ghost World" I've been singing this song ever since! :)

Heard this on Ghost World and had to find out who it was! I haven't the
foggiest what he's saying but just love it from start to finish. The
whole production is fantastic and energetic, a credit to 60's Bollywood,
thanks Mr. Rafi !!!! Love the funky moves too always makes me smile ;-)

i think half the views this song gets is from non-indians who watched a
commercial or ghost world! when i played this song to my american cousin
back in 88 when she visited india she said this was not what americans
'liked' and now see how popular it is!

vaadaenmacchi on Sunday, July 10, 2011
if anyone is looking for similar songs, check out 'hoga tumse kal bhi' from
the movie evening in paris. most of shankar-jaikishan's compositions in the
60s had a catchy beat of this sort. of course, they also infamously lifted
the beatles i wanna hold your hand but that was the only blemish :)

vaadaenmacchi on Sunday, July 10, 2011
@66mcgrath did you enjoy thora birch's dance opener to the movie as well?

Cesar xk on Wednesday, September 21, 2011

Aidan Welch on Thursday, September 22, 2011
A man who owned a 7/11 in Lawrence, Kansas who my Dad and I saw every day
on the way to work/ school In 1999 gave us a cassette tape of Mohammad Rafi
and we loved it. When this came on the Heineken commercial I nearly jumped
out of my couch. I miss my childhood.

prithvirajfan on Thursday, September 22, 2011
I just saw Heineken commercial nicely put in Rafi's Voice.Go Rafi ..
Go Heineken... half billion more beer drinkers for Heineken ...

emerpus01 on Friday, September 23, 2011
The only thing Kill Bill really lacked was a good Bollywood musical number.

Israel Guerrero on Friday, September 23, 2011

Israel Guerrero on Friday, September 23, 2011

LOVE THIS SONG its so friggin cool, sounds modern but retro and its so
catchy with that bass line!

ktx49 on Tuesday, October 18, 2011
also this female dancer is mesmerizing she is an awesome dancer pure energy

Dean Smith on Wednesday, October 19, 2011
Truly an edgy synthesis of cinematography, editing, music, dance and
singing 1st the intro drum riff? Gene Krupa's into to Sing Sing Sing ('36)
Then the bass/guitar line? Ventures ('60s) Brass & Horns? Contemporaneous
with Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass But can you ever look at Rocky
Horror Picture Show's ('75) TW and ST medley the same way? The sequence of
shots, masked dance line, and character intro, inspired by JPH sequence?
And Kill Bill 1's('03) "5,6,7,8'? QT even kept the masks

IncogneetoDTF on Thursday, October 20, 2011
@rudis123 dislike

ShermanOaks1972 on Saturday, October 22, 2011
Frickin hi style here, wow, no wonder it is the new Heineken ad

ShermanOaks1972 on Saturday, October 22, 2011
@thesinodean totally bang on with the Krupa intro, definitely Tarantino saw
this (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill)

sgodek on Sunday, October 23, 2011
Jaan Pehchan Ho (Let us get to know each other) Jeena Aasaan Ho (Life will
be easier) Dil ko churaane walo ( the one who stole my heart) Ankh Naa
churao (Don't pretend to ignore me) Naam toh Bathao ( Tell me your name) I
was 7 when this released, and danced similarly in the 60's. Nothing
compares to the sheer sensuality of these hep cats in skinny slacks and
cool kittens absolutely shredding the floor - elevating to frenzy at about
the 5:10 mark, just prior to his devilish laugh - WOW!

sgodek on Sunday, October 23, 2011
ShermanOaks1972 is right - Gold Dress sizzles...smokin'.

Owings Art on Tuesday, October 25, 2011

Remember when the whole world wanted to be like Americans, no matter how
nutty we seemed?

lablask on Friday, November 11, 2011
@turtleman8000 from an Indian movie of 1965

Andrea Cusumano on Wednesday, November 16, 2011
This song is so bad ass. I see why Heineken used it. And clearly the same
drugs used in the USA in the 1960's, were used the world over. You can tell
by the subtle seizures induced by said drugs. lol They must have used
cement to keep those wigs from flying off!!

porus on Friday, November 18, 2011
@jpaliano Heineken is a Dutch company! :-)

Andrea Cusumano on Friday, November 18, 2011
I can't imagine how much hair spray and bobby pins they used to keep those
wigs in place.

slvglitter on Saturday, November 19, 2011
Is that Bruno singing ;-)
