rumahale on Sunday, February 24, 2013 Absolutely. Thank you for liking and appreciation.
Mani Menon on Sunday, February 24, 2013 Wow! Wow! Wow! This is one of my favourite Salilda compositions! And it's
not a copy of Dean Martin's 'A Little Ol' Wine Drinker Me'. The tunes are
entirely different! Salilda still has a huge fan following as he had
composed some really fantastic songs in Malayalam movies. His
'Kadalinakkare ponnore...' from 'Chemmeen' and sung so wonderfully by
Yesudas is still a very popular song, even after nearly five decades! Did
you know that the story of 'Do Bigha Zameen' was written by Salilda?!
rumahale on Sunday, February 24, 2013 Excellent comments with important information as always; I was lucky to
have heard "Chemmeen" song may be in 1968, in the voice of a person from
Kerala serving as Lecturer at my native place; it was something like
this..."Maanasa maine varu..". I also heard 'Kadalinakkare ponnore...' now
on the YouTube; it is nice with pleasing view of the sea. "Do Bigha Zameen"
had great story. Thank you.
Mani Menon on Sunday, February 24, 2013 Salilda's music in 'Chemmeen' is immortal! By the way, 'chemmeen' means
'prawns'. The song that you mentioned, "Maanase myney varoo..." is a
fantastic song sung by Manna Dey! Hid diction in Malayalam was flawless.
Mani Menon on Monday, February 25, 2013 Rumahaleji, I've forwarded you two songs from 'Chemmeen' to you. Check your
mail when you're free. I'm sure you'll love them.
rumahale on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 Thank you for additional precious information. I cannot hide sweet memories
of "prawns" - that are missing in plain area.
Mani Menon on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 Hahaha! Bechara rumahaleji! The next time I sink my teeth into a
'chemmeen', I shall certainly think of you. And maybe eat some extra ones
as your share! Did you listen to the two songs I forwarded you?
rumahale on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 Thank you so much. I have no word to express the joy and ecstasy on
listening the songs and viewing the beautiful marine scenes. Nostalgic!
rumahale on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 Please do enjoy prawns - you are fortunate. I have since listened those
immortal songs. Thank you.
sds1943 on Saturday, November 02, 2013 Doesn't sound like it.
Raghavendra Siddhanti on Monday, December 30, 2013 Beautiful song! Rafi sounds so great on Dev Anand as if Dev himself is
singing. This song takes me down the road of nostalgia of my school days
when the movie was released in Roopam talkies in Hubli, it was such a big
hype, all over! I used to be great Dev fan!!!
Shriram Bhat on Thursday, April 17, 2014 dev and his movies and their songs are the fantastic memories
Subhash Madhok on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 Dear Bhat, I fully agree with uour feelings. 90% of Dev's songs can be
