And I also admire RD Burman and Kishore Kumar. Neither were they amateur and nor mediocre. Anybody who thinks so, is musically parochial. How do you explain songs like - O Manjhi Re, Chingari Koi Bhadke; Mere Naina Saawan Bhadon, and many more. Wake up my friend...There is a whole world of music out there.. You have to soak it all up. We should be proud that our heritage allows us to enjoys thousands and thousands of brilliant compositions filled with exquisite poetry, melody, joy, pathos...there is practically a song for every mood, every taste, every possible occasion. We are so very blessed.
