RoseLeonardoDawson on Saturday, March 21, 2009 I'm 16 n I've watched more old movies than the new ones. The old movies are classics unlike most of the new ones..
Abhay Shah on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 very true...very true.
Shruti Chaudhari on Monday, March 30, 2009 Yes these oldies are great and have such meaningful songs, not like today.
They need to make some movies like the oldies! They ROCK
insanewithrani on Monday, March 30, 2009 i love this song and this movie Amitabh and jaya are so great together
Su on Sunday, April 05, 2009 i love this song it made me cry =]
sna004 on Friday, April 10, 2009 Why is she crying? I haven't watched this movie but have always loved this
song.
chaitanyajosh on Monday, April 13, 2009 Hey.. thanks for pointing this out mate... I knew quite a few songs where
SD Burman has completely lifted the tune of a song from some other song
(Hum the woh thi, Roop tera mastana, etc..) and heard abt Salil Chawdhury
copying several ravindra sangeet numbers as well. but did not know about
this theft. Sometimes, I wonder why we all consider these composers as
'great' ?? (they could have atleast acknowledged the original source in the
film credits the least...)
rashedboss2000 on Monday, April 13, 2009 I appreciate your thinking but I must say that Ravindranath tagore himself
lifted a lot of tunes from foreign songs and even from a native song as
well.I am proud to say that tune of our national anthem, Amar Sonar
Bangla...(The national anthem of Bangladesh) was taken from a native song,
Ami kotahy pabo tare.. But, Differnce between Tagore and other people is
that Tagore acknowledged the main source where others did not. He had his
own great lyrics too. So why, Tagore is called 'The Legend'.
96kulimaratha on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 We(Marathi) are not against bihari and UP. We are against only politician
behind the Bihari and UP people in Maharashtra. Have u seen Panjabi and
Rajstani And Gujarati or any south India are trying to make their own
separate vote bank in Maharashtra? This funkin.. Amar Singh and Mayavati
and lalu are trying to make this... Jaya also trying to make this bcoz she
is from Amar Singh (SP) I had respect for Jaya Bachchan but lost from when,
her sentiments on Maharashtra. Jai Maharashtra
skappp46 on Monday, April 27, 2009 wonder how much he wud have likd the song...wish ur grandpa lives long...:-)
Sanjay Patange on Sunday, May 10, 2009 This is the last and most emotional scene in the movie. The central theme
is the ego of a husband. Both of them are singers and as the wife
progresses the male ego couldnot bear it. They got seperated and she went
in depression and stopped singing. The husband when realised the mistake
tries to bring her in the main stream. The music which stood between their
egos finally brought them together. That is why she is crying and the
husband is also emotional.
Mathew Morais on Thursday, May 14, 2009 The emotions and the feel is simply intense in this video, brilliant
translation of script to visuals... wish they made more movies like
this..miss the era!!
shoonnya on Thursday, May 21, 2009 you are 80% right but the most important part (if i am not mistaking) is
left out.. She is a prfessional singer who has had bigger name better
voice. with that history..she seperates and finds out her dad's house that
she was pregnant before she left and depression causes a miscarriage. that
tragedy brings the husband back and they unite. there's a beutiful/sad
irony in the whole wording. listen to it again and you will enjoy it more...
Bettina2302 on Friday, May 22, 2009 Whats the name of this movie? I searched so long to find this song again..
and now I´m so happy.. great song... really great..
Bettina2302 on Monday, May 25, 2009 Thank you very much ..
033789 on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 A very beautiful song of a wonderful film ! ! 'Abhiman'.another masterpiece by Hrishikesh Mukherjee ! ! And the heart-warming music by S D Burman ! One hit song after another ! ! You just want to listen to them again & again and still don't get enough of them. Only a genius like S D Burman can produce such a wonderful music ! !
Jaya Bhaduri is such a beautiful & talented actress.she simply rocks in this film. Please watch the film asap. Believe me ...you are in for a treat ! Thank you.
033789 on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 Further to Shoonnya's comment, may I add that Jaya Bhaduri suffers from 'nervous breakdown' after having miscarriage of her first unborn child. A very painful separation from her husband leads to clinical depression ultimately resulting in the loss of her baby. She completely blocks the world out and shuts herself in her own world. A painful separation & miscarriage...a perfect recepi for 'nervous breakdown'. Luckily Amitabh comes to his senses and reuntes with her and tries to save her life.
Sanjay Patange on Wednesday, June 03, 2009 really great explanation which I could not put in words. Thanks
sahem62896 on Thursday, June 11, 2009 Catching hold of you in countless embraces. I'll meet you in the scented
nights
033789 on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 I totally agree with you. In fact, That's exactly what I thought when I first heard that they were thinking of remaking 'Abhimaan'. No matter how good or bad the new movie turns out to be, it will always be compared with the old one. It's going to be a very tall order to make anything even remotely as good as the old one. In my opinion, it's almost impossible. Jaya Bhaduri was so perfect in the old movie that I don't think anyone else can even be a patch on her. Drop the BAD IDEA please ! ! ! !
pravinak on Saturday, June 20, 2009 Its good that u watch old movies. You will have rich experience and be
mature with such experiecne than watching senseless acrobatic songa of
recent years
yogendra khokhar on Thursday, July 02, 2009 I don't think there is a better duet. This characterizes love at its
best. The other song like this is 'jeet hi lenge baazi hum tum".
pionyt on Sunday, July 05, 2009 Jaya Bhadudi's acting is so so natural in this song ... Today's actresses
cannot even cry properly !!

Neelabha Chatterjee on Saturday, July 18, 2009 do you'll realise that the song is in a 3/4 beat...not the usual 4/4 in

PakLovesIndia on Tuesday, September 01, 2009 PART ONE OF THE SONG
The mating season (season when two hears unite) is here but your playful eyes are causing apprehension of a new predicament.
A little flower will blossom in my courtyard and the empty forearms will be decorated with bangles.
Like moon plays in the cloud that little flower will play in your arms.
The moonlight will sing the song of your playful eyes. See..it is our mating season.
PakLovesIndia on Tuesday, September 01, 2009 First TWO Holding you in my arms I will introduce you to the exhilaratingly
intoxicating nights. I will become the beating of your whispering heart.
Your playful eyes will tease with a new attitude.. this is our mating
season.. The mating season (or season when two hears unite) is here but
your playful eyes are causing apprehension of a new predicament.
June G on Wednesday, September 02, 2009 Ur Gr8 PaklovesIndia, excellent translation.
GARYSAHI020 on Friday, September 04, 2009 Indeed pakloves India, you deserve my salute as well in this wonderful translation.
sameer137 on Wednesday, September 09, 2009 It's not Urdu for god's sake! "chanchal", "milan", "raina", "naina" "madd"
are pure Hindi (Sanskritic) words, unlike Urdu which is full of Persian and
Arabic vocabulary...
PakLovesIndia on Wednesday, September 09, 2009 it seems like your ego was shaken by me using the word "URDU". It is pure
fact that 90% Bollywood music is written by the Urdu poets. Isn't Urdu
originated from India? All the words you used in your example are also used
in Urdu. Urdu is not just consisted of Arabic and Persian but also it
contains a great number of Sanskrit vocabulary. The only way we can drop
the wall of hate by accepting and appreciating our heritage.
PakLovesIndia on Wednesday, September 09, 2009 Sameer, Your comments depicts Urdu as an inferior language and Hindi the
superiors language. You still do not accept that Urdu does use many
Sanskrit words. Just do some research and you will learn that Urdu
vocabulary developed under Arabic, Turkish, Persian and Sanskrit. The
modern Urdu is greatly influenced by English and Punjabi. You definably do
not understand Urdu so please refrain from unsolicited comments.
bornfree72 on Friday, September 11, 2009 What a song! what a movie! Brings tears everytime.
