Do you have the whole song? =]

whereismikeyfl on Wednesday, March 12, 2008
This is pretty much the whole song. You might be remembering the long scene
during which the song is rehearsed. Just saw Bombay Talkie again. Really
depressing, but really terrific.

Franca Haesler on Wednesday, March 12, 2008
That might be why: I haven't seen Bombay Talkie. I only know this song
through my friend who has been to Thailand. Thanks though,

whereismikeyfl on Thursday, March 13, 2008
The film is a Merchant-Ivory piece about an Indian movie star who has an
affair with an English novelist. A lot of bitter humor about guru's making
it big servicing Hollywood stars, bad treatment of screenwriters, and
cross-cultural misunderstanding. Then a tragic ending. The silliness of
Indian musicals counterpoints the darkness of the rest of the film.

wotsinanaam on Wednesday, March 19, 2008
That's not pretty much the whole song. I have the full song in my audio
collection. Maybe it was never filmed in its entirety, though. And if it
was, the entire picturization was not included in the movie.

themarser on Monday, March 31, 2008
This song is also part of the soundtrack of the recent movie The Darjeeling Ltd.

diyanaputri on Friday, April 11, 2008

Chad48309 on Saturday, April 19, 2008
Absolute classic, and I'm ashamed that I got introduced to it by Wes Anderson this late, but better late than never.

edly88 on Wednesday, January 28, 2009
is that the famous Taha Soomro staring in this piece???

v1jan on Thursday, January 29, 2009
no, her name is Helen Richardson. This is a song from an Indian movie released in 1970

CinematicTwilight on Sunday, February 15, 2009
omg people, chill. This is a movie within a movie! Of course it's not going
to be amazing! If anyone knows anything, they'd know that this isnt the
main theme of Bombay Talkie.

NeeliAankhen on Wednesday, February 18, 2009
The whole song MIGHT be on the dvd extras, which include a documentary
about Helen. I love the song and the movie. The story is just ok, but movie
is full of real detail about the Bombay film world in the late 60s, some of
it "real," like recording sessions, studios.

NeeliAankhen on Wednesday, February 18, 2009
Shashi has on yellow shoes.

chilligirl05 on Monday, March 02, 2009
Its off the Geoff Show, when they are doing Annabel's postbag, as in typewriting letters. lol

edly88 on Wednesday, March 11, 2009
you obviously don't know anything about bollywood if you dont know who Taha
Soomro (the male lead) is, i would say helen is quite terrible and could
never match his skill or grace in dance, can't belive you have never heard
the classic may have this dance routine, this is poor knowledge

edly88 on Saturday, March 14, 2009
look yet again even thought Taha Soomro acts looks and talks like a female
he is infact male as I have already stated in my last two posts you retard,
Helen is no dancing diva she pulls out no moves out in this piece, its very
poor if you think that is good dancing then I pity you for not seeing the
GREAT Taha Soomro in action the classic moonwalk pop shove it routine can
not matched by this Helen who ever she is, id say she the retarded one as
are you for admiring her dancing

Cellobro1 on Wednesday, March 25, 2009
correct me if wrong, but i believe that the male lead is Shashi Kapoor

heffalump95 on Saturday, April 25, 2009
They use it as the theme music for Annabel's postbag.
