Kishore had been around since 1950s but such was Rafi's pre-eminence that nobody came close to him..Do you know that Rafi even gave playback for Kishore and once Kishore requested Rafi to sing a song originally meant for Kishore coz it was too classical for him to render it,,In 1970s Rafi's health detoriated plus Kishore who was a great singer got greater recognition and thus came to rule the roost.

However he fell ill and Rafi went for Haj. Pancham took charge and Kishore came in.. "Baghon mein bahar hain" and "Gun guna rahe hain Banware" were recorded before "Mere Sapno Ki Rani" while SDB and Rafi were still around.. Then Rafi went for Haj and SDM fell ill..And "Mere Sapno KiRani"was a big game changer and thus began Kishore's rule..
