The film has a story along with its songs,the film was first offer to Dev
anand and he denied to do it because of some confusion between him and
Nassir hussain,when pancham was selecting as a music director of the film
at that time Shammi kapoor want his feb music director pair of shankar- jai
kishan but nasser hussain convince him to listen to R.D and said after
listening to him if you still go for Shankar-Jaikishan we will agree to
it,after listen to aja aja Shammi goes mad and said ''Nassir take my word
this boy will rock the world on his tune in near future'' rest is history.

I'm not sure if it's the best movie Shammi Kapoor has performed in. There are so many outstanding movies from this legend: Budtameez, Tumsa Nahin Dekha, Dil Deke Dekho, Dil Tera Deewana, China Town, Junglee, Professor, An evening in Paris. Bluffmaster.All of these are in the same league as Teesri Manzil - with the golden combo Shammi/Rafi.
However, I don't think any movie which does not feature Shammi can beat those. His movies are my favourite ever, even though they were produced 50 years ago.

Okay, it's been too long since I posted something here. Sorry about the low
res - will try harder! When I first found a CD of Bollywood music after
seeing Ghost World, this was the first track on the CD!!! Hooked ever
since. One of R.D. Burman's early movies as composer. Great song, and great
movie with a teriffic opening scene. Track it down if you can.

Wow, this one really rocks ! Absolutely amazing RDB music & choreo with Shammi's original style, is a treat to watch. This number is a work of genius and is an all time hit. One of my favourite. Thanks bossbeat for uploading this gem.

How come nobody is talking about the dancers? The extremely graceful and
genuinely classy twist that the buxom ladies have rendered in the
background is one of the cutest visuals in Indian cinema, in my opinion.
