song so well, that despite being a mujra number, it casts its spell on the
listeners. Of course, the credit also goes to the extremely talented
maestro S. D. Burman who could compose outstandingl tunes for any genre,
and M. S.'s lyrics appropriate for the scene. On-screen, NJ did full
justice to the character of a courtesan, IMHO. A nice song from a nice
