Dear all! I think age has not influenced Asha ji that much. She is quite
fit, far more than people of her age. In my view she has sung this ghazal
casually and has made some unnecessary variations, just for the heck of it,
which have reduced the quality of her rendition a bit below our
expectations.

Thanks, Khalidji. Ashaji is Ashaji and we all love her voice, but to be
candid, in this rendition her voice falters a bit over several notes and is
not of the high professional quality that we associate with her. It may
have been a recent recording. She is about 75 now, so the effect of age is
beginning to show. Still I adore her. How many can sing even this well in
their 70s, after all? Thanks for the post with your fine creative montage
again.

Yes my boy this ghazal was sung by ghulam ali ji long before you were born
in early 1970's LOL, She is versatile singer no doubt about that and she is
performing in my town April 4th Easter long weekend, i like that word
SHAHEB instead sahib cuz thats bengali accent, you are a nice boy.thanks
