Manher Desai,Bipan Gupta and Aga.Jaywant Desai was a very talented director
who gave some very good movies.He started his career as Surat based
exhibitor,assisted Chandulal Shah in Rajputani,1929(silent)turned
director,completing Nandlal Jaswantlal'sPhadi Kanya ,1930.front line-cont

Jaywant Desai was front line film maker of Ranjit until 1943,then
independent Producer,owner of Jupitor Studio,Jaywant Desai Prod(1943)and
Hemlata Pics.He has the credit to direct K.L.Saigal 's last film Tadbir
,1946.His famous films are,Shadi,1941,Tansen,1943,Har har Mahade and
Shaan,1950,Amber and Nishane Danka 1952,Hazar Ratein Manchala and Naya
Raasta 1953.The last film of his career was Zamana Badal Gaya 1961,also the
last film of Charlie in India.
