thank you da . the thought that rajendra kumar is looking a bit too old
also crossed my mind but s d burman's renditions are as usual worth
listening . i love the line ''sheetal chhaya tu dukh ke jungle mein ''.
majrooh once again penned beautiful lyrics showing devotion to mothers
after ''ussko nahin dekha '' in the movie ''daadi maa'' (1966) !

The song is a very close collaboration between Majrooh and Maestro SD
Burman. One can guess the tune was composed prior to the lyrics and the
flow of words may be simple but they immortalize this title scene where a
mother and her ideals are being celebrated.

If my memory is correct, this movie was an extravaganza by O P Ralhan - in
fact we were studying and read much about it. Please correct if I am wrong.
Being fan of Sachin Dev Burman, as a singer (it is important), I have
always liked this song. Thanks.

Another scintillating clip to celebrate Mothers Day. Some scenes are a bit
too mawkish considering the age of the son, but excess in showing love and
