My Lord, WHAT A FILM THIS WAS!!! -- SIMPLY INCREDIBLE IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD. Basu Chatterjee, who happens to be one of my most respected directors of all time, created magic with this Shabana Azmi-starrer, for the plot, the script, the music, the acting...everything was par excellence!! The concept of compromising & forgiving others for the sake of peace, love, & harmony was taken to a totally new, higher level, as Basu took us on this remarkable journey to a life of marriage & family.

The melody and tune is just out of this world! I simply love this song.
I would never have guessed that the music is Rajesh Roshan. It has a gazhal-tinge to it, almost making me think Madan Mohan.

The village scenery is simply mesmerizing -- makes one long to live there for the years to come.
This is my favorite Shabana film. She looked drop-dead gorgeous in every second of the film.
