A medium composition made great by the voices of Suman and Rafi. Rafi was
perfect as usual. The voice of Suman was sweeter than Lata's. The composer
did not blend any high notes in this duet so neither Rafi nor Suman could
show us their excellent control of the high notes, which they have done in
a couple of other duets. Suman had a higher range than Lata, but she was
seldom given the music to dispay those high notes due to the inability of
the composers of her era to blend high notes into thei

Shaam44: suman is only 72 years old and she has some songs recently with
sonu nigham. I hope she will sing many more songs as she is classically
trained and has retained her perfect voice.

No singer can be great unless the composition is. Singers, even Lata and
Rafi, are couriers of the creation of the lyricists and composer. Yes, they
can enhance a song to an extent.

Singers can certainly raise mediocre lyrics and music to a higher level.But
when all three elements combine to produce the perfect blend nothing can
