Lyrics of Saaz E Dil Chhed De Kyaa Hasin Raat Hai - साज-ए-दिल छेड़ दे क्या हसीं रात है
saaj-e-dil chhed de saaj-e-dil chhed de
kya haseen raat hai kya haseen raat hai
kuch nahi chahiye kuch nahi chahiye
tu agar saath hai tu agar saath hai
saaj-e-dil chhed de
mujhe chand kyun takta hai
mujhe chand kyun takta hai
mera kaun ye lagta hai
mujhe shaq yahi hota hai
mujhe shaq yahi hota hai
mere chand se jalta hai
hame iski kya parvah hai
hame iski kya parvah hai
saaj-e-dil chhed de saaj-e-dil chhed de
kya haseen raat hai kya hasi raat hai
kuch nahi chahiye kuch nahi chahiye
tu agar saath hai tu agar saath hai
saaj-e-dil chhed de
tere dar pe sar jhuk jaaye
tere dar pe sar jhuk jaaye
yahi zindagi ruk jaaye
kali dil ki ye khil jaaye
kali dil ki ye khil jaaye
khushi pyaar ki mil jaaye
kabhi phir ghami na aaye
kabhi phir ghami na aaye
saaj-e-dil chhed de saaj-e-dil chhed de
kya hasi raat hai kya hasi raat hai
kuch nahi chahiye kuch nahi chahiye
tu agar saath hai tu agar saath hai
saaj-e-dil chhed de
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Saaz E Dil Chhed De Kyaa Hasin Raat Hai
Strike the heart's string, let it sing,
What a night of beauty, what a night of grace.
Nothing else is needed, nothing craved,
If you are with me, if you are with me.
Strike the heart's string.
Why does the moon gaze upon me,
Why does the moon gaze?
Who does it think I am, this moon?
Doubt creeps in, doubt lingers,
Jealous of my moon, the moon.
What care we for such a thing?
What care we, my love?
Strike the heart's string, let it sing,
What a night of beauty, what a night of grace.
Nothing else is needed, nothing craved,
If you are with me, if you are with me.
Strike the heart's string.
Let my head bow at your door,
Let life halt here, at your door.
Let the heart's bud blossom forth,
Let the heart's bud bloom.
Let the joy of love be found,
Never again will sorrow come,
Never again will sorrow.
Strike the heart's string, let it sing,
What a night of beauty, what a night of grace.
Nothing else is needed, nothing craved,
If you are with me, if you are with me.
Strike the heart's string.

.Saaz-E-Dil Chhed De' from the highest grossing
film of 1961 'Passport' sung by Mohammed Rafi & Lata Mangeshkar. Music
composed by Kalyanji Anandji. ...The film stars Pradeep
Kumar, Madhubala, Mehmood, Helen, Mumtaz Begum. Directed by Pramod
Chakravorty.
Narasimhan Srinivasan on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 The lyricist Farooq Qaiser quitely worked in the film industry for over
three decades I think. He wrote songs for Kalyanji Anandji, OP Nayyar,
Laxmi Pyare, Shankar Jaikishan. He was very versatile and a bit like Abrar
Alvi or Akhtar ul Iman was interested in other aspects of film making too.
I remember seeing his name in the credits of some films where he
contributed as an Assistant Director.

musicparast on Friday, November 14, 2008 ooops! not 'Ghar ki Laaj' but 'Ghar Ghar ki Baat' (1959). sorry! it was
written by Gulshan Bawra. 'Ghar ki Laaj' (1960), by the way, had a great
Rafi song - 'ujad gaya panchhi, ab tera basera' (Ravi/Rajendra Krishna). it
also had another Rafi song, probably filmed on Johnny Walker - 'lelo
chudiya, main laaya niraali rangdaar..'
