Lyrics of Sun Le Too Dil Kee Sada -
haye gusse ki jhalak lute sukh chain talak
haye gusse ki jhalak lute sukh chain talak
sabse hil-mil ai mere dil aisi mehfil fir kaha
khoye nafrat laaye ulfat, yeh asar hai meharbaan
pyaar rasta hai mera, aisa raahi hu tera
pyaar rasta hai mera, aisa raahi hu tera
na rahu mai na rahe tu par rahegi daastaan
do dilo ki yeh lagan jaane dharti aur gagan
do dilo ki yeh lagan jaane dharti aur gagan
tu jaha hai mai vaha hu, jism do hai ek jaan
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Sun Le Too Dil Kee Sada
Hearken to the heart's true call,
Adorn love with love's own thrall,
Hearken to the heart's true call.
Wrath's fleeting glance, a thief of peace,
A stolen joy, a swift release,
Embrace all hearts, let revels cease,
Where else, my soul, such solace lies?
Hearken to the heart's true call,
Adorn love with love's own thrall,
Hearken to the heart's true call.
My voice, an arrow, pierces deep,
Where shadows of the spirit sleep,
Let hate dissolve, love's vigil keep,
Compassion's gentle, healing art.
Hearken to the heart's true call,
Adorn love with love's own thrall,
Hearken to the heart's true call.
Love's path, my way, my only guide,
Your traveler, forever stride,
Though forms may fade, the love will bide,
A timeless tale, forever starts.
Hearken to the heart's true call,
Adorn love with love's own thrall,
Hearken to the heart's true call.
Two hearts entwined, the earth, the sky,
Witness this love that cannot die,
Where you reside, there shall I lie,
Two forms, one soul, forever near.
Hearken to the heart's true call,
Adorn love with love's own thrall,
Hearken to the heart's true call,
Adorn love with love's own thrall,
Hearken to the heart's true call.

Narasimhan Srinivasan on Saturday, August 18, 2012 Jagjit ji is correct. But it is wrong to say also that there would be no Rafi without other greats. This is important because Rafi did have some training in music including classical so he sang great songs not just for the famous composers but also comparably less famous ones like Usha Khanna, Sonik Omi, Franky, Jimmy and Raj Ratan - many would not have heard of the last three names mentioned by me. Music directors (except Ravi) all had training, so were destined to succeed anyways.
jagjitisher on Friday, July 22, 2011 i m a die hard fan of rafi & never ignore other legends. there r mentors of rafi sahib who composed 4 rafi sahib 2 reach the Himalayan heights. had there bn no shanker jkishen madan mohan o p nayyar roshan chitragupt sd burman r d burman kalyan g anand g khayyam naushad c ramchandra etc there would hv bn no rafi lata & others. all including rafi sahib r gr8 & plz hv courage 2 praise others also. in ones own capacity every other singer are also best & gr8 like my favorit rafi sahib.

Jagjit Singh Ishar on Friday, August 08, 2014 The SD Burman classic. The honey sweet divine voice of Rafi sahib, very
well picturized on Devanand.
buapia on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 Rafi saab, in this world of hatred and violence there are very few things that solace our heart. No doubt your voice is one of them. When you sing it seems god is the name of love.
