Lyrics of Ye Baharo Ka Sama, Chand Taro Ka Sama (By Lata) -
raat ke hamrah dhalti, ja rahi hai zindagi
raat ke hamrah dhalti, ja rahi hai zindagi
sama ki surat pighalti, ja rahi hai zindagi
roshni bhujh kar dhua, ho na jaye aa bhi ja
ye baharo ka sama
chand taro ka sama
kho na jaye aa bhi ja
ye baharo ka sama
aa zara hans kar, nigaho me nigahe dal de
aa zara hans kar, nigaho me nigahe dal de
hasrato ka karvaan, kho na jaye aa bhi ja
ye baharo ka sama
chand taro ka sama
kho na jaye aa bhi ja
ye baharo ka sama
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Ye Baharo Ka Sama, Chand Taro Ka Sama (By Lata)
A season of bloom, a time of grace,
The moon and stars in their embrace,
Lest it vanish, come, take your place,
A season of bloom, a time of grace,
The moon and stars in their embrace,
Lest it vanish, come, take your place,
A season of bloom.
From heavens, colors softly stream, moonlight's flow,
From heavens, colors softly stream, moonlight's flow,
From a voiceless tongue, whispers soft, moonlight's glow,
This world of waking, do not let it sleep, come, do come,
A season of bloom,
The moon and stars in their embrace,
Lest it vanish, come, take your place,
A season of bloom.
With night, life softly fades, it ebbs away,
With night, life softly fades, it ebbs away,
The form of this time, melts away, each passing day,
Lest light extinguish, and smoke appear, come, come away,
A season of bloom,
The moon and stars in their embrace,
Lest it vanish, come, take your place,
A season of bloom.
Come, with laughter, gaze into my eyes, and meet my stare,
Come, with laughter, gaze into my eyes, and meet my stare,
Lest the caravan of longing vanish, come, be there,
A season of bloom,
The moon and stars in their embrace,
Lest it vanish, come, take your place,
A season of bloom.

RealMusicKing on Sunday, June 06, 2010 Look at Geeta's expressions. She knew how to act well. Sad she died so young.
pdavis55 on Saturday, July 25, 2015 This song indeed has a captivating tune.I cannot quite describe it but
ever since a couple of days back I discovered it, it keeps haunting me. The
languorous melody, the poetry of Sahir and Lata's mellifluous voice plus
the visual of the song: Geetabali is also a very big part of the magic.I
always thought her as a chubby girl with no particular appeal...but this
song changed my mind.
PLDB27 on Monday, July 08, 2013 NO Bollywood singer, male or female, had or has Geeta Dutt's quality of
singing which was based on the "under beat", which gave weight to her
singing - whether in light or sad songs. Neither of the Mangeshkar sisters
were capable of equalling her in that altho' the younger tried hard to
imitate her and the elder one continues to put her down in favour of her
younger sister...!
nandu1f on Sunday, February 21, 2010 The sweet song suits Geeta Bali's sweetness. One more classic song from N
Datta. I still don't know who was N. Datta, and used to mix up Dattaram
with him. If I am not mistaken, Dattaram was assistant to Shankar and
Jaikishen, and also later produced some excellent music. Can some one
enlighten me about N. Datta?
Reincarnation on Thursday, December 31, 2009 i see what yumean...geeta had a unique quality in her style, a a very
beautiful.sort of sultery sweet element. as does asha. though lata
always has a an innocence - even in her sensuality. i do miss geeta's
presence in bollywood. i love analyzing the sublte powerful factors of
music. thanks for your input.
