kya jano tum bin thi kya dil ko bekarari
mahfil ki, mahfil ki diwani si tumhari
chain aaya jab dekhi ye surat pyari pyari
aao aao jan-e-jaha, aao aao jan-e-jaha
dil ne dhunda tumhe kaha kaha
aao hum bhi aaye hai baho ke haar leke
hotho pe ek nagma ankho me pyar leke
is dil ke shishe me taswire yar leke
aao aao jan-e-jaha dil ne dhunda tumhe kaha kaha
aao aao jan-e-jaha
ulfat hai ya kya hai kuch kam hai dil ki uljhan
pahle thi khoyi si ab chanchal hai ye chitwan
tum chhu lo kuch aise lahraye mera tan-man
aao aao jan-e-jaha dil ne dhunda tumhe kaha kaha
aao aao jan-e-jaha
Comments for lyrics of song "Aao Aao Jaan-E-Jahan Kya Jano"
wotsinanaam on Sunday, June 17, 2012 I don't need to look it up on Youtube, I have had the tune in my possession
for a long time now. And, I wasn't requesting you- I was ASKING you,
because I could sense that the claim you made was based either on limited
knowledge or on something they had heard or read somewhere. There is NO
resemblance whatsoever at 0.51. Two notes, just two notes at
"Flyin'...flying" high do sound similar, but that's about it! If a two-note
resemblance is the criterion for calling a song lifted, then (contd...)
mamabari07 on Sunday, June 17, 2012 :) others will read this too and will laugh at you... the entire catchy
tune has been lifted from 0.51.. 0.45 also resembles with a tune in 'Jana
suno, hum tum pe marte hain..' from Khamoshi (middle of the song, around
1.40). That's why I said, only if you have the ear to recognise it.. :)
(PS: oh, one more small thing, speaking about knowledge, there is a
beautiful saying in Sanskrit, 'Vidya dadati Vinayam' :)
wotsinanaam on Sunday, June 17, 2012 btw, since you started pontificating on vidya and vinay.you aren't quite
the "vinayer abotaar" either, telling me I don't have the ear to recognize
it just because I don't agree with your observation. so, maybe practice
what you preach?
mamabari07 on Sunday, June 17, 2012 Search: 'Mackenna's Gold - Quincy Jones composer w/Jose Feliciano' in YT
and listen to 0.51 - I can't help if you don't have the ear for it (and
next time, please say 'please' when you request something; you don't 'ask',
you request)!!
wotsinanaam on Sunday, June 17, 2012 Yes, vinayaddati patrataam, patrataah dhanam aapnoti, dhanaat dharmam tatah
sukham. I would any day trust my own ears, but I agree about your
observation about the Khamoshi interlude-- "similar", yes.
