Hi Friends, I think Sonik Omi were assistants to G.S.Kohli, who himself was
assistant to Madan Mohan. By the way Sonik and Omi are two persons, of
which one is the uncle of the other. The elder one probably Omi (or Omkar)
is blind also. I remember for a long time, of the two i.e. Omi and Sonik,
Master Sonik was the name commonly referred to in the press which means he
is the younger one. They were very talented music directors but they got
relegated to some B Grade movies.

Rafi saab simply hit the bull's eye with another fantastic performance; a
wonderful melody created by Sonik Omi; don't know why he didn't get that
many offers for music direction despite having such brilliance. Thanks for
uploading a beautiful clip from the great 60s.

Actress VIMI is featured in this song but you probably forgot to put her
name in the beginning. Shashikala is not there in the song. BUT very
melodious song indeed ! Thanx for posting !

Heroine Nivedita Hero deepak kumar. Poor sonik omi wasted such beautiful
songs. but you never know which film will become a hit. DOSTI and
parasmani is classic example of this

justice to them. This is one of the rare romantic song given by sonic
