Sameer Pandey on Saturday, October 30, 2010 There is no match for Asha in pop music...She was the pop queen of Indian
music...This song is a perfect example of her superiority over any past,
present and future pop singers.Bravo

gendarpres on Saturday, January 15, 2011 Thirty years ago I worked in an Indian restaurant in NYC. The kitchen workers were all Indian. I used to hear them playing this song that I loved. Thirty years later I remembered the lyric "bolo subu shyam". And from that, with the help of a young Indian man at the grocery where I get my special stuff, I found this again. Now I know all the lyrics, the three lines. The pleasure this gives me is just beyond all others. Thirty years and I found it.
NeeliAankhen on Monday, March 26, 2007 Film: Hare Rama Hare Krishna. Available on Netflix, also probably can be
bought from Nehaflix. Highly recommended. It's about the hippies from the
west who went to India and Nepal, as seen from a moralistic Indian point of
view: they are shown as lost and decadent. One great thing - the hippy
extras are played by actual hippies hanging around in Inda and Nepal at the
time.
