ghanan-ghanan ghir ghir aaye badara
ghan ghanaghor kaare chhaaye badara
dhamak-dhamak gunje badaraa ke dake
chamak-chamak dekho bijuriya chamake
man dhadakaye badarava, man dhadakaye badarava
man man dhadakaye badarava
kaale megha kaale megha paani to barasa o
kaale meghaa kaale meghaa paani to barasa o
bijuri ki talavar nahi bundo ke baan chalao
meghaa chhaaye barakha laaye, ghir-ghir aaye ghir ke aaye
kahe ye man machal-machal, na yun chal sambhal-sambhal
gaye din badal tu ghar se nikal, barasane vaala hai amarat jal
duvidha ke din bit gaye bhaiyaa malhaar sunao
ghanan ghanan ghir ghir aaye badara
ghan ghanaghor kaare chhaaye badara
dhamak-dhamak gunje badaraa ke dake
chamak-chamak dekho bijuriya chamake
man dhadakaye badarava, man dhadakaye badarava
man man dhadakaye badarava
ras agar barasega kaun phir tarasega
koyaliya ayegi baithegi mundero par
jo pachhi gaayege naye din aayege
ujaale muskuraa dege adhero par
prem ki barakhaa me bhige-bhige tanaman
dharati pe dekhege paani kaa darapan
jaio tum jaha-jaha dekhio vaha vaha
yahi ik samaan ki dharati yaha
hai pahane saat rago ki chunariya
ghanan ghanan ghir ghir aaye badara
ghan ghanaghor kaare chhaaye badara
dhamak dhamak gunje badaraa ke dake
chamak chamak dekho bijuriya chamake
man dhadakaaye badaravaa, man dhadakaaye badaravaa
man man dhadakaaye badaravaa
pedo par jhule daalo aur unchi peg badhao
kaale meghaa kaale meghaa paani to barasao
kaale meghaa kaale meghaa paani to barasao
bijuri ki talavar nahi bundo ke baan chalao
aai hai rut matavaali bichhaane hariyaali
ye apne sang me laai hai saavan ko
ye bijuri ki paayal ye baadal kaa aanchal
sajaane laai hai dharati ki dulhan ko
daali daali pahanegi phulo ke kagan
sukh ab barasega aangan aangan
khilegi ab kali kali, hansegi ab galigali
havaa jo chali to rut lagi bhali
jalaa de jo tan man vo dhup dhali
kaale meghaa kaale meghaa paani to barasao, paani to barasao
bijuri ki talavaar nahi bundo ke baan chalaao, bundo ke baan chalaao
ghanan-ghanan ghir ghir aaye badara
ghan ghanaghor kaare chhaaye badara
dhamak-dhamak gunje badaraa ke dake
chamak-chamak dekho bijuriya chamake

lemae7 on Monday, March 22, 2010 @kaliyuta i dont try to imitate or mimic for the sake of mockery. i
genuinely do like the culture & im not trying to take it away from anyone.
& yeah, i probably do say it all wrong. however, im sure there are people
from india that try to sing english pop songs, & i dont see it as them
stealing "my culture". even suggesting that enjoying and attempting to sing
a song in another language is like stealing a culture is quite extreme. its
me trying to sing a song i enjoy, english or not. chill out.
AksheeShadow on Sunday, March 15, 2009 Well In parts of rajasthan and saurashtra(guj) it is very common for clouds
to appear as if they r gonna rain and especially if its a famine, just a
sight of clouds actually gives hope it may be over but if its too windy the
clouds pass by without showering. You can laugh on the situation becoz u
may have never seen it or experienced it but it happens.
metallicrebel on Saturday, December 25, 2010 As much as I enjoyed Rahman's work on Slumdog, I much prefer this type of music from him and it would have been nice if he was nominated for an Oscar for his work here. Nevertheless, Slumdog open Hollywood's eyes to Rahman when all this time he's one of the world's best known composers. It really goes to show you how insular Hollywood can be.
