not receive the honour from Film Fraternity and Govt she really deserved.
The Greatness of Sumanji is that she never complained of anything to
anybody. She is living her peaceful life at Khar Mumbai. The media, which
otherwise blow the most so-so people much out of proportion, did not
provide the limelight that she well deserved. But Yes, fortunately there
are thousands who know her talent, sweetness in her singing, her humility
and hence love her. May God give her long, healthy and peaceful life.

duet's with Rafi did not get publicity. Lata always got the focus of
attention and as such her duets with Rafi . Kalyanpur during the same age
of competition had sung almost 170 duets with Rafi most of which became
super hit, yet could not get the lime light which they deserved. What does

she was not as cunning as Lata. And she get's Lata Mangeskar award; the
same Lata was responsible for abruptly stopping the singing career of this
great Singer. We would have heard much more of this nightingale had it not
been for these Mangeskar sisters. There is too much of Lata and Asha and
hence much less variations in the music. Mubarak Begum was another victim
of this unfair competition from these sisters!!!
