Lyrics of Khushiyo Ke Din Manaye Ja - खुशियों के दिन मनाये जा
khushiyo ke din manaye ja dil ke tarane gaye ja
tujhko jawani ki kasam dil ki lagi bujhaye ja
dunia meri basaye ja aaja piya aaja piya
abhi to mai jawan hu abhi to mai jawan hu
abhi to mai jawan hu abhi to mai jawan hu
abhi to mai jawan hu abhi to mai jawan hu
jahid yuhi badnam hai gum se tujhe kya kam hai
ye mushkurati jindagi jinda dili ka nam hai
dil dil se mushukraye ja uth gaye ja balkhaye ja
abhi to mai jawan hu abhi to mai jawan hu

Tarsemlal Gercha on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 The gazal sung by Malika Pukh Raj and her daughter Tahira Syed together and
separately(kalam of HAFEEJ) is"Abhi to mein jawan hun..., Hawa bhe khush
gawar hai, gulon pe bhe nikhar hai, tarunmein bahar hai, bahar pur banar
hai, kahan challa hai sakia, edhar to laut edhar to aa." only first five
words are common, rest of the gazal is different and is of 5 to 8.1 minutes
long. Thanks Rumahaleji for reminding my old memories by uploading this fine
gem sung by Lataji film Afsana, 1951. Prof. Gercha.
Tarsemlal Gercha on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 This immortal song"Abhi to main jawan hun"really was the signature tune of
the Radio Cylon programme"Hamesa jawan geet aapke anurrodh par" broad
casted by either Gopal Sharma or by Shiv Kumar Saroj on each Sunday from
10.0 to 11.0 P.M. I was17-18 years old in 1962-1963 and used to listen to
this programme without fail."Abhi to mein jawan hun" is also broad casted
on T.V. Asia in California(U.S.A.) by Tabassum with the same signature
tune,(lyrics by Asad Bhupali). Continue.
Subhash Kothari on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 I just co relate this immortal song with Hamesha Jawan Geet, as this song
is and will be continue to be " hamesha Jawan Geet". I used to listen this
one when I was just 10years old in 1962-63, and was listening to the above
programe. Of course at that time I was just listening to the songs which I
like at that age, but the above song is kind of immortal one. The day I got
this video clip, I kept it in my favorite - liked on folder.
V. Siddhartha on Thursday, February 05, 2009 There is that honey-soaked voice of a young Lataji again. Every attempt now
to describe its beauty and sweetness sounds just stale. It's like the
failure of words to grasp and express the divine Buddhist concept of
Nirvana, You can only feel it inside if you have experienced it ,but
language fails us in conveying its blissfulness. Thanks, Ramachandraji.
rumahale on Thursday, March 21, 2013 I can understand your point of view mentioned here - I was about 11-12
years old in 1962-63; so, obviously we have same taste. True, it was a
signature tune for "Hamesha Jawan Geet" played on Sunday night on Radio
Ceylon. I too have great liking for it. Thank you for excellent comments.
