Comments for lyrics of song "Khwaja Mere Khwaja Dil Me Sama Ja"
asunaj on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 In the Guru Granth Sahib it is taught that no religion, no scripture is
100% true, not even the Guru Granth Sahib. Implicit in that startlingly
tolerant statement is a respect for other faiths and an analysis of one's
own faith that your comments do not demonstrate. I thought the point of
Sikhism is to be bring all people together, not demonize some of us. PS
This song is not that great, and why are these people dressed like Ottoman
Sufis? Why can't Bollywood get anything historical correct?
asunaj on Friday, October 02, 2009 I answered your point days ago, but a bigot like you has no interest in
listening to reason. Your religion (Sikhism) teaches that you should follow
the Quran and respect it as wells as the Vedas. The underlying message
being that all religions should be respected and not attacked through
bigotry. Its easy to find fault in others, what is more interesting and
more important is to attempt to respect others and their beliefs. You fail
at that, so you fail at being a good Sikh and a good human.
amansaysmtf on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 @orangeandapplefull Yea because he is asking some 'khoaja' for help and
guidance; plus he said in it that 'oliyaas sar jhukatay hein (he does
sajdah)bargah'. The Biddah is in the lyrics. You can never sajdah infront
of any one but Allah and ask only Allah for help. The person he is asking
for help is also Allah ko piyaray. The best thing is to learn from these
oliyaas and how they gained sprituality so that you may become poius too.
Taking them as super natural and bowing to them is shirk.
dassenach on Monday, October 12, 2009 Let's just say that my paradigm has shifted. However, what do you mean by "black sheep"? Do you mean Sufis? If so, just stop right there - I happen to abhor the narrow legalism of those "in authority", be they priests, ulamas or rabbis. I prefer to think for myself, thank you very much.
I'm having a problem reading the Qur'an because I don't know Arabic, and for some reason the English translations don't make much sense. And what are ahadees? Hadiths? Can you suggest a good source?
munstud on Sunday, November 29, 2009 Many think Sufism got influenced by Vedanta in India, also by the Bhakti movement with love for God.
Only in India did Sufism really grow. Vedanta has influenced many religions in India. Buddhism, Sikhism and now Sufism.
Akbar also tried to merge Sanatan Dharm with Islam. He followed his own beliefs of Din i illahi! Same with Dara Shikoh! unfortunately Dara was killed and Akbars ideas were thrown too..
