I must strongly complement you SHASHIBHUSHANHEDGE for finding and posting
such rarest of songs. The movie, with many fabulous songs, was banned,
destroyed and unfortunatelly even HMV did not seem to keep any sound track
of this filim excep one song of Mukesh perhaps. With that when you come of
with this even less heard of number from that movie, you do deserve much to
be complemented. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

All songs(incl. this gem)of "Begunah"are super and despite the 'immediate
ban' of this movie in 1957,(i'm told) the video was available(as endorsed
by someone who saw the same in 70's in this column)?I'd simply love to
possess video/songs of films like Begunah,Badshah,Parbat,Pooja etc at any
cost!

Thank you for this. I first heard it in East Africa in 1958, having seen
the film Begunnah in 1957 (just before it was banned!) All the songs were
very popular in africa, especially the Kishore Kumar one with the hiccups.
