Shiv Shankar on Tuesday, September 04, 2012 I find the song absolutely brilliant.. the fusion between the classical and
the modern is amazing .. The song just sticks with you if you are a person
who has a taste for both. However, I claim to be no expert and this is just
my humble opinion that the song tempo difference is a bit huge between the
start and the middle .. I suppose thats the most you can do with a
classical song .. and guess thats the challenge of the fusion. If that can
be done then it would be too good.
Kathiravan Manogaran on Monday, October 17, 2011 @rohini U are really really good! @Tucker you're still the legend
@thecritics To the rest of you with the criticisms...I want to see a video
of you singing before you post anything remotely critical of this. Earn the
right to speak...in the meantime just listen and remain silent. Too many
arm chair critics who run their mouth.
Sunni Lal on Monday, November 21, 2011 @soumsarkar well the singer is more than okay... just because she doesnt
sing in an overpowering "masculine" fashion, that doesnt mean this
rendition does not possess any merit. she purposely tries to make it more
soothing and soulful and dreamy. its called art. there are a million
ways to express the same song...
Akhilesh Magal on Monday, October 17, 2011 Great job. A few comments: It appears that most of the compositions are in
the same family of raags and the treatment is always is a mood that is
serious, melancholic or 'dreamy'. Its time you experiment with some lighter
carnatic raags like Mohana, Bilahari, Jhunjhuti, etc.
Akshay Iyer on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 One of my favourite songs in recent times and yes, I have to admit that I
liked this much more than the original.. It is mesmerizing. Awesome
rendition of a song in Sindhubhairavi raagam. Can we hear more from her and
her music, please?
