Gayatri Borpatra Gohain on Sunday, October 27, 2013 Hi, trying my best to translate ! O beloved,I will flow the river Jaji
(River's name) with my heart's blood, And turn it into a River of Blood, my
Love. My Love when you get married, you will bathe in "haldi-uptan" Your
entire body will be besmeared in haldi-uptan. Dont say I'll marry you just
by my Tip-Top Look! For, dear, mine is a rain-dripping hut. You'll catch
cold-fever by soaking water. O dear, My heart will be broken seeing you go
away. Sorry for the so unpoetic translation !
zulugulubumba on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 though i don't understand both the languages, i liked the song :) assamese
song is better than the other one. both have sung well but it's khogen
gogoi all the way for me!!! i love his voice which different from the
regular star singers & it's refreshing to. as of now, vethalai, bichua
and tip top & me dolkar stands out for me!!!!!
algoseer on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 @pranavaswaroop well how about the two different genres atleast start
playing with each other to begin with. I see what are you getting at but
these are just two different songs put side by side. There are numerous
Indian examples of fusion e..g the album on Raga Jazz by Shankar and
Jaikishan, that would be fusion.
verity1able on Sunday, September 08, 2013 Hemanta sang the original Marathi song too, so maybe he created the bengali
version after that. The original composer I think is Hridaynath Mangeshkar
and singers were Lata and Hemanta.
Pancham Singh on Saturday, June 25, 2011 amazing...fantastic, great work, great fusion of assam folk and
maharastrian folk. indeed feel like to hear the song time and time
again.khogen voice is unique...
