During the autumn of our lives, all we can do is just think & question what
if? (Ghalib wrote that about himself). Here he is noticing the darkness of
his own cell. When we are young we do not think about getting old & facing
the most unexpected surprises. I am glad to walk into the sunset with some
inkling of what lies ahead. It is a good feeling I have seen enough light &
I can carry some of it for my times ahead.

Marhoom ne apni mashoor Nazam Mujh se pehli se mohabatt, Madam Noorjahan
key namm kar di thi aur iss nazam ko mushiaron mein padna band kar diya
tha. Agar log zid kartey tou Faiz kehtey ki yeh nazam abb Noorjahan ki hai
app unn hi se suniye,kyonki yeh nazam Noorjahan ji ney jitni achhi gai hai
aur koi gaa nahin sakta. Bahoot khobb kaha app ne.

aashtee-e-chashm-o-gosh hai [ muzda = good news, wisaal = meeting,

harmony/friendship/peace, chashm = eye, gosh = ear ]
