The melody was later used in the Latin Ave Maria of which you speak. The song's real name is "Ellens dritter Gesang" you can find all the correct information with Google and Wikipedia.

The name is Ave MARIA dipstick, there's no use lecturing others about what it means.

The video is misnamed, you need to read the Lyrics in the video description, or search for them on Google. As anyone can tell you this song is in German and Ave Marias are in Latin.

Though I personally like Helene Fischer's version just a bit better. Both are in my library.
